Caulk & patch cracks in cinder block walls
Hello everyone, this video explains how we correct large settlement structural cracks that occur in cinder block walls that have been stuccoed.
To repair cracks takes more time in than most folks realize. For example, in the early morning they are the largest and in the hot sun they are almost invisible. (Stucco walls expand and shrink) Some caulking has sand some don’t. Some caulking can’t be painted, so these must not be used for a painted stucco surface. Also I have caulked some walls and had the caulking shrink if the caulking is old. (Usually from sitting in warehouse or on shelf too long) Walls above 10 feet can seriously injure or cripple a fella if he falls from a ladder. The list goes on and on. It pays to hire a professional!
By the way folks you can purchase Mor-flex that has the sand in it and simply caulk and sponge if it’s a rough finish. I believe Silka-flex will start making their caulking with sand soon too. Please also see our web site at https://stuccoplastering.com
