Fix a bad, ugly or wrong stucco texture, Plaster patch made simple
The good, bad and the ugly patch jobs, “Clint Eastwood flick”
Howdy guys and gals, in this video Jason, Dan and I explain some tips to anyone wishing to repair a stucco patch that does not match the existing patch. If you wish to patch plaster or patch stucco the patching begins here. You can also apply a skim coat over Cinder Block, stucco, or brick with the same method.
BTW, very important, I used a course sand or what some folks call a heavy top sand to match this dash thrown on existing finish.
Normally we buy Oly or Felton sand, which is the most common plaster sand, if i had mixed my cement plaster with this fine sand I could not match this patch as I did in this video, I would have instead had to dash this patch or thorn the mud on with a dash brush.
