How to match a tex-coat finish with stucco

Hello guys and gals. In this quick video I show the differences in texture between a text coat and a dash finish. Both can be sprayed on, but the text coat will look like it has moon craters, or pits on it. Tex-coats are usually a mixture of an acrylic terpolymer with color pigments and sometimes glue, the aggregate is usually perlite which is lighter than sand and thus shoots better through the nozzle. That’s why it’s sometimes tough to match the texture of a tex-coat, our plaster sand is much finer.
