How to quickly repair an exterior hole in a stucco wall

Hi everyone, in this quick video I will show you how to quickly repair an exterior hole in your stucco, such as those left by removing an air conditioning system, or any other protrusion through the wall.

First you must have lath material to tie into, and this may require that you carefully break out the stucco. Keep in mind that you must have the materials tested for hazardous substances before any demo work can be done. Then you lath it, paying careful attention to overlap in the proper places.

With normal stucco you cannot do two coats simultaneously like I do here, unless you purchase luminite,
Luminite is an accelerator for cement plaster.

However these days they also sell lots of fast setting or rapid setting products such as rapid set stucco patch which will allow this exact same type of plastering , both coats back to back.

You can purchase rapid set stucco patch at Home Depot’s or Lowe’s hardware stores as well as many others hardware stores.
These boxes range in sizes from10 pound box’s to 25 pound boxes to bags which come in heavier sizes as well, all you do is add water.
