Hello, in this episode, we share how to remove buckling and or to fail stucco and replace buckling stucco on old cedar wood lathed homes.
Remove buckling stucco from outdated cedar wood lath keyed for stucco.
This old cedar wood keyed lath was used a lot between 1890 to about 1920.
It can and does last hundreds of years if well maintained.
By that, I’m referring to painting every ten years. It will last forever.

I have seen homes where new windows were installed recently.
They were over a hundred years old. The old cedar wood lath underneath the stucco of those stuccoed homes appeared new in many cases where the owners did proper maintenance.
