Painters, replace buckling stucco before painting.
Stucco lathing best tip.
Important detail unrealized.
Weep or Drip screeds.
See the thumbnail for the finished product.
These metal screeds often prevent stucco walls from cracking or rotting out. They are important!
Its like when building a home the foundation is the most important stabilizing factor for the longevity of that home.
The weep screed serves the same factor for stucco homes, If you wish maximum longevity with fewer cracks or walls that can flex, understand their importance.
Below are videos that my son Jay and I have done over the years that explain in simple language their importance.
So easy to understand that even my dear old grandma would understand, now thats simplified for your education.

In this video, many folks have asked what stucco accelerator we use we use the most its called lumnite, sold only at only “plastering material yards” such as “westside Building Materials” for about 90 bucks for a 94 pond bag.
Keep in mind weather plays a huge part when adding Lumnite or often spelled Luminite also.
The day we before we were working on a hot tin roof at 105 degrees but felt like 110 because the sun was reflecting off the metal roof.
This day high was around 106, it is much more of a challenge when working in triple digits to apply accelerated stucco.
FYI, my brother Lou reacts to triple digit weather like superman does to Kryptonite, not good.
We use as a rule or most of the time regular Portland stucco mixed with three times the sand per every one part of the stucco.
For example, for every one hundred pounds of Portland stucco, 300 pounds of sand are added to the mix.
