Howdy folks in this video my son Jason and I are explaining the best method to repairing old plaster ceilings.
We are using the same material as when the home was built which is structo-Lite.

This one was fun as I had to be aware of where I was standing while plastering we do the best set up as can but raily have the best platform, this adds to the excitement of plastering in my humble opinion as plastering is too easy.
Structo-lite base-coat-plaster is specked out for hospitals and schools and many other government projects because of it provides excellent fire protection, and Sound Isolation In certain systems.
Its sanded basecoat plaster provides optimum results.
Control of Set STRUCTO-LITE Basecoat is usually left to an experienced applicator.
How many times have we added too much accelerators?
Many times during the years we’ve been applying it.
That is the best way for anyone to learn is from past errors.
Is it a big deal to add too much accelerator? No, we just throw the bucket away and start from scratch, live and learn, then mix another bucket.
If the bag of Structo-Lite is old or the bag of accerrator, then all will have to experiment to get the mixture the way you want it.
It’s kinda fun, makes a person hustle, or take one’s time.
The quicker a gypsum plaster sets, the stronger the base coat.
it has been used longer than I have been in this trade, it’s the right choice for this simple repair.
