I used regular portland cement mixed with luminite.
Luminite is a cementitious accelerator.
A cup full will set an entire five-gallon bucket of stucco mud in about 10 to 15 minutes. Without the Luminite, it would take at least three hours for the stucco to dry.
This is because the portland cement had three times the sand for every part of Portland cement.
A three parts sand to one apart stucco ratio.

This video explains, step by step, how to correct cracks in your lower stucco walls due to shifting of foundations. We were already aware that the foundation might have some structural issues. However, when we removed the stucco for the repair, I did notice only the corner was bad; the rest of the foundation was in perfect condition, which means when they poured it, an air pocket may have been in this area.

I see this sort of thing every once in a while.
We repaired it best as possible with stucco and wire. My opinion is it will last at least another 20 years but will redevelop some cracks in similar locations as the stucco is butted to the foundation and the concrete walkway next to it without an expansion. The majority of homes I work on are similar to this.

It was common practice in those days to do this, and I still see this today. I mention this so anyone reading won’t panic as it’s not a severe problem most of the time.
