What my son, Jason is doing is called “Hodding” as it’s “Hod work” I had the easy job on this day of applying. Jay worked his ass off, from the truck to the backyard was quite the distance, plus the mud is no picnic to mix in triple digit heat and carry to where its needed.
That being said, both Jay and I would rather do this stuff than sit behind a desk.
I applied two to three inches between the studs as the paper no matter how tight you stretch it is still just paper not a solid backing.
Behind the scenes of Giordano stucco company. Folks with stud walls you can pull the paper as tight as possible, but between the stud bays its still going to require sometimes up to three or more inches to get a wall true and level, welcome to plastering 101.
