Stucco moisture weather barriers
Howdy guys and gals, this video explains how we set scaffolding in order to remove some existing stucco and to then apply a waterproof membrane as rain had been scheduled for that night and the following day. I realized at the time that the arched windows would have a custom made radius flashing and that a belly band was to be installed also. I took this on knowing we would probably not return for up to 2 weeks. This paper membrane was to avoid placing blue tarps over the entire wall. Any penetration through the stucco that is left unsealed will allow entry of moisture, so always caulk the windows, doors, pipes, outlets etc.
