Adding stucco accelerators to portland cement, luminite for setting stucco fast.
Using a stucco setter to accelerate the set time, a stucco setter speeds cure time.
Hi guys and gals, in this short video, I explain using a stucco accelerator to accelerate the set time or stucco setter, which speeds the cure time of stucco.
The use of Calcium aluminate or what we in the stucco world call Luminite.
This product is what many of us plastering contractors have on our trucks for many projects.
Should the average person invest in it, Doubtful, as it cost about 60 to 80 bucks a bag and the bags weigh 94 pounds, for one use its goofy to spend such cash for any product that you will probably use just one time, Plus the bags are heavy!
In this video, we are adding stucco accelerators to portland cement for fast-setting stucco.
The accelerator we used is called luminite.
Luminite sets all portland types of cement and stuccoes.
Luminite was used in the past often, today in 2021. It’s a bit outdated as most cement plasters or stucco has one coat or same-day bags.
Note this accelerator also works for concrete as well as portland types of cement.
