What is a veneer finish plaster do’s and don’ts
Howdy folks, on this video I’m showing how to apply a fat coat of veneer plaster even on the areas that didn’t get a base cost,
As a rule I apply a basecoat 1/16 to 1/8 allow to harden then apply a finish coat, also 1/16 to 1/8 this way you avoid any blistering, and or spider checking by applying the finish coat only or too thick.
If you do happen to apply your finish to thick I demonstrate how to bring it back to life in order to remove to spider checking and or blistering, blistering and air bubbles occurs when you trowel on with too much pressure, thus, you loosen the initial set to the substrate, whether that substrate is sheetrock, block or bricks.
