In this video, Kirk demonstrates the difference between structural cracks and cracks with peeling paint. He focuses on repairing a structural crack by filling it with polyurethane caulking and applying Weld Crete around the area. Kirk then feathers new stucco onto the crack to cosmetically repair it. He uses a rapid-set stucco, filling the gap and floating it to match the existing finish. Kirk explains that this type of crack requires a cosmetic fix, as fixing the structural integrity of the stucco would involve tearing it all out. He also emphasizes that they are not addressing the painted cracks, which are simply elastomeric paint coming off.
