When we say, Repair interior cracking with lime plaster or tapping with no dust or sanding we mean.
In this video, we simply use water to bring the diamond-finish plaster back to life and finish it just like their existing finish.
We want it to look good before painting. No sanding, as you cant sand Diamond plaster if you try.

Together, my family and I have created and contributed the most comprehensive online encyclopedia of Stucco and Plastering videos, providing hopefully inspiration and hopefully wisdom.
Don’t guess with your most valuable asset, your home.

In this video Im using Diamond USG Diamond Veneer Finish (Gypsum-Based): This is a white, mill-prepared plaster finish by U.S. Gypsum Company (USG). It is a gypsum-based, high-strength, hard finish for interior walls and ceilings, designed for fast application. It is not typically used as a hydraulic lime plaster for high-moisture areas, as some other brands are for kitchens and bathrooms.

Hydraulic lime plaster: This type of lime plaster is made with hydraulic lime, which sets and hardens when exposed to water. It is a good option for areas that are exposed to moisture, such as bathrooms and kitchens. Non-hydraulic lime plaster.

One can also use tapping mud, but this takes a long time to dry, multiple coats are necessary, and often sanding is required.
We, as a rule, have never sanded any taping mud, ever, as it creates too much dust.
We’re more plasterers who use water to finish instead of sanding.

Were providing ideas so you folks can decide on the best method to achieve your goals.

If you use say Diamond plaster, you will have to visit either Westside Building Materials or L W, building supplies, both sell plastering and stucco supplies, and even all types of drywall and other building materials, and at a lesser cost than the big chain stores, where everything is locked up.

Both plastering and stucco yards have many locations and sell to the public at a cost better than those chain stores, plus a much higher quality as they deal with us professional contractors.
Why get robbed in a parking lot when you pay less for better products?
It pains me to say this, but it’s now a reality, unfortunately.
Diamond plaster is not sold at HD or Lowe’s.

The video below is in case you want to structurally reinforce a wall or ceiling with Fiberglass mesh netting first.

Not sure what you’re looking for, type in a question and a video will magically appear to show how we did it, complete with my narrative.
We have well over 1,000 videos in the last 15 years, along with over 70 million views.
Before we started showing our work, I had a crew of 12 men for 20 years, where we stucooed hundreds of normal and custom homes.

This qualifies one as an expert in stucco, as if something’s not done to perfection, ole Kirk was responsible then, and still takes his responsibility seriously, as it’s simply second nature to bring harmony together, working with my family or any crew.

Thus, all can count on us for sound work ethics and advice.
Cheers all and a blessed new year today in 2026.

Thank you for watching, and have a great day. Any questions? Ive answered over 70,000, so leave or ask a question. I’ll give you my expert advice for nothing in return except a smile, as that’s the kind of guy I am.
