Jay and I look at any stucco textures and/or finishes that match what’s existing. In all my years of plastering, have I matched every finish on the money? Of course not, as no one can do that. I have recalled a few jobs where I struggled to match textures with Jayson, my son, who said, Dad, I can match that on the money with little effort, and sure enough, he has done so.
The moral of this story is to be experienced enough to match almost every texture imaginable as best as possible.
