To maintain stucco and prevent future damage, regularly inspect it for cracks and discoloration, ensure proper drainage by cleaning gutters and maintaining landscaping, and protect the surface by cleaning it and repainting or sealing it every few years.
Promptly sealing small cracks prevents water infiltration, which is a major cause of damage.

Seal small cracks: Fill hairline cracks as soon as you notice them to stop water from getting in.
Address water damage: If you find water damage, locate and fix the source of the leak, thoroughly dry the area, and apply a waterproof sealant or primer before repairing the stucco. Coming up, we have a few videos of worst-case scenarios of ignoring sealing cracks in your stucco and not installing the all-important Drip Screeds, even if your house already has its stucco completed.
It’s never too late to add stucco Drip screeds.
